Richter und Henker

There is an executioner in every judge. In criticism, many become the judge of other thoughts and naturally the executioner of other thoughts.

The executioner hidden in the judge, judging by other thoughts, takes secret pleasure in tormenting others.

You should always make another thought your own in the beginning, so that you can taste the bitterness of your executioner in the judgment of that thought.

Metastagnation

 M. Jamali

The foundation of intellectualism is that man is aware that he always makes mistakes. “Making a mistake” comprises the assumption and reasoning that two things in life are similar.

Truth and falsehood, truth and lies, good and bad, become similar.

There is no lie that does not immediately make itself look like the truth. There is no truth that is not immediately surrounded by “pseudo-truth”. There is no freedom with which pseudo-freedom does not grow. Pseudo-truth, pseudo-freedom, and pseudo-right can never be separated from the emergence of truth, freedom, and rightness.

The emergence of truth, freedom, and rightness is a lightning bolt for humans, but truth, freedom, and rightness always become a “means for the purposes of those who seek power and gain” and leave us in the wrong (or seemingly make us err).

And that is that anyone can wake up suddenly and by chance, and save himself from these “similarities”.

We always live in the community, in the trap of pseudo-truth made by those who seek power and profit.

Freedom is the result of lightning-like insights and lights in the society that have not yet shone and are made dark by the power-seekers and profit-seekers.

And the akhund, the cleric, the rabbi, and the mubed are the most dangerous power seekers when they place themselves against the power, when they oppose power.

Enlightenment is an individual’s awakening to these similarities.

Secular originally meant “living in the passing time, despising it and turning your back on it”. Later “living in transitory time” has become desirable for society. One of the consequences of scorning “what is transitory” is that an “individual” in front of “society, class, creed, nation, and ethnicity” is a symbol of transience, and the “individual” can be sacrificed for the survival of the community, society, people, class, and nation.

Philosophical thinking is the constant process of breaking away from belief and assumption, in order to find in intellectual innovation a freedom that helps to make life in the world better. Philosophical thinking not only does not stem from faith in religions and ideologies, but it also does not stem from faith in any philosophy or science. In this break, which requires courage and a certain degree of audacity, germinates the creative power to think a new life.

Har cheshm

(rev. 29.07.23)

Every eye sees many things and does not see many things. In its disingenuousness, it does not recognize things. In its truthfulness, on the other side, it recognizes things. From the lies of each one one sees the extent of the lack of his knowledge, while from trueness, in turn, one can tell the other’s ability to comprehend. The liar thinks that he manages to conceal the truth from the other. He does not seem to be aware that with his lies he is merely admitting his lack of ability to discern the truth.

The truth can be found in the winding and colorful passages of life, not in the only straight path that will eventually reach the “Palace of Truth”. These winding passages of life are full of wonderful sights that should be wandered in, not boring and empty straight roads, run with haste, until one day it ends when the palace of truth is closed to everyone.

Nowrooz and Secularity

In secularity every day is a celebration. In heathen Iranian culture, every day is Nowruz. Celebration is always about “renewal”. Why Nowruz became a festival, when man became an enemy to his own celebrational-wisdom; the narration of Nowruz in the Shahnahmeh is a narration of the Zoroastrian priests during the Sassanian period. The meaning of “secularity” is that: life in time is celebration. Life is ‘laughing’ in ‘time’.
